Foundation stone laid for the new aprentas training centre
26.02.2025 | Muttenz
Aprentas, the training partner of 95 member companies for professions in science, technology, IT and commercial professions, will move into the new building on Birsfelderstrasse in Muttenz in the summer holidays of 2027. The six-storey building, designed by Caesar Zumthor Architects from Basel, will house laboratories, workshops and offices for inter-company practical training in thirteen different professions.
At the laying of the foundation stone today, Councillor Monica Gschwind (BL) and Councillor Mustafa Atici (BS) both emphasised the importance of vocational training for the region. Martin Kull, HRS CEO and owner, emphasised that aprentas, as a tenant on the Polyfeld, ideally rounds off a broad range of uses in the areas of health, education, sport and commerce. He also expressed his delight that SUVA, a long-standing and proven partner, could be won as an investor. HRS is the total contractor for the project.
