A total of five apartment buildings are being built on Johanna- Meyerhans-Strasse in Sangenfeld in Weinfelden - not far from the River Thur directly on the Thur Canal. Three apartment buildings will comprise 51 rental apartments, two other apartment buildings 33 condominiums. Construction work began at the end of January, and the rental apartments will be ready for occupancy in stages between September 2023 and January 2024. The condominiums will be ready for handover by March 2024 at the latest. The groundbreaking ceremony took place today.
Residents will be able to benefit from the riverfront location and the nearby Thur swimming pool, as well as a variety of shopping facilities, a kindergarten, schools and sports facilities, and a Vita-Parcours. Beautifully structured architecture, bright, friendly facades, large balconies/terraces and small, secluded squares will create an oasis where people simply feel at home - every day anew and for years to come. District heating, photovoltaic systems on the roofs and Minergie certification ensure a high level of sustainability.
HRS is the project developer and general contractor for both projects and also the investor for the condominiums. The owner of the rental apartments is the PKG pension fund based in Lucerne. The total cost of both projects is around CHF 60 million.
