After about four and a half years of construction, Rebecca and Martin Kull today handed over the keys to the Police and Justice Centre (PJZ) to the Cantonal Director of Construction, Cantonal Councillor Martin Neukom - with heartfelt thanks for the fruitful and goal-oriented cooperation at eye level between the Canton of Zurich as the building owner and HRS as the general contractor.

The canton of Zurich will thus have a modern centre of excellence for fighting crime. Special extensions will now be completed and technical installations tested by October 2022. In addition, the building will be occupied and put into operation in stages.

Since the foundation stone was laid in June 2017, hundreds of workers have used around 11,000 tonnes of reinforcing steel and 76,000 m3 of concrete. In the interior, about 3'500 windows and 4'000 doors were installed and 45'000 m2 of carpet was laid. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the numerous companies involved, construction has now been completed on schedule and the building handed over to the canton. Today, the cantonal police is also taking over the operation of the PJZ.
