Altwiesen

The Altwiesen project in Zurich has created a modern, multifunctional residential neighborhood that harmoniously combines urban living, communal spaces, and attractive outdoor areas. As part of a large-scale redevelopment project, nine buildings were constructed, housing a total of 283 rental apartments and various complementary amenities. The neighborhood thus offers contemporary living spaces suited to different life stages and contributes to the sustainable densification of urban housing.

Creating a lively, family-friendly environment is a key element of the project. In addition to the residential spaces, a daycare center, a community room, and extensive outdoor and gathering areas have been developed, fostering neighborly interaction and sustainably enhancing the neighborhood’s quality of life. The carefully designed open spaces form the heart of the complex and create attractive places to meet, relax, and play.

HRS Real Estate AG, as general contractor, was responsible for the project’s execution and ensured its success in terms of cost, quality, and schedule. Built to the Minergie standard, the complex meets high standards for energy efficiency and sustainability, sending a clear signal in favor of forward-thinking housing. With Altwiesen, a modern urban neighborhood has emerged, combining architectural quality, environmental responsibility, and a high quality of life into a compelling overall concept.
