The alternative project on the site of the former Hotel Metropol follows the standard construction method and meets all building law standards. The plan is for a four-storey private residential development with 48 condominiums and an underground garage.

Plan A by HRS remains the Riva, which will be voted on by the Arbon population in June. This juried project of an architectural competition was designed according to the wishes and specifications of the city of Arbon and would offer the population numerous benefits, including a restaurant, bar, garden terrace, halls, meeting rooms, hotel rooms and public access to the park and the lake. In the view of HRS, it is an excellent project in the right place. The alternative project will therefore only be considered if the Riva is rejected at the ballot box.

By presenting the alternative project at an early stage, HRS is creating clarity as to what will be built on the site of the former Hotel Metropol if the Riva is rejected.
