Planning for a new urban quarter on the site of the former cantonal hospital in Zug is progressing: a design with a spacious square by the lake has emerged as the winning project from the architectural competition. The project preserves existing, easily usable structures and skillfully combines various residential offers, an event hall, retail space, a spa and bistros.

Today, Friday, HRS presented the winning project to the public together with Cantonal Councillor Florian Weber, Director of Construction of the Canton of Zug, architect Christoph Gantenbein and investor Credit Suisse Investment Foundation. Yves Diacon, Head of Real Estate Development at HRS, warmly congratulates the architectural firm Christ & Gantenbein and thanks all the teams and the jury for their hard work. "The conclusion of the architectural competition is an important milestone in this project development and we are very much looking forward to continuing to work on the project together with the architects and the investor."

All seven project entries from the architectural competition - two of which are being further developed in the final stage - will be on public display at "Freiruum" Zug from June 22 to 30 and can be viewed between 2pm and 7pm.
