People give green light for Valbella site

With 82.2 percent of votes in favour, Davos voters have given the green light for the realization of the Valbella residential quarter in Davos Dorf. HRS is delighted with the clear result, which shows how important the issue of living space is for the locals.
Following the preliminary project, detailed planning will now begin and the plan is to be able to submit the building application for the development in the second half of 2025. If everything goes according to plan, the ground-breaking ceremony will take place in 2026.

An investor is being sought for the construction of the rental apartments planned for the site. HRS Investment AG is the developer for the condominiums and terraced single-family homes that are also planned.
Demand for the apartments is expected to be high. “The Davos housing market has been virtually empty for years,” writes Südostschweiz in dramatic pictures following the vote. “Of course, apartments are advertised every now and then, but their rental prices largely cause shock paralysis.”
